Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-10-06
This policy describes how Random Talk handles data when you use the service.
What we process
- Connection metadata required to run signaling and matching (for example socket/session identifiers).
- Basic operational logs for reliability, abuse prevention, and troubleshooting.
- Rate-limit and anti-spam counters to protect the service.
WebRTC media
Audio and video are exchanged peer-to-peer using WebRTC whenever possible. The server is used for signaling and does not intentionally store call media.
How data is used
- To provide random matching and maintain active sessions.
- To detect abuse and enforce safety and capacity limits.
- To improve stability and performance of the service.
Data retention
Operational logs and security counters are retained only as long as needed for operations, abuse prevention, and legal compliance.
